Dr. Pandya specialises in trauma, spine problems and joint replacement surgery.
After obtaining the Master of Surgery (MS) degree in Orthopaedics from Baroda Medical College in 1984, Dr. Amul Pandya had worked as Senior Registrar at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. Thereafter he established the Fracture and Orthopaedic Hospital at Dandia Bazar, Vadodara, in October 1985. Seven years later, in 1992, he opened a second branch of the hospital at Race Course Road. Both hospitals are well-equipped with all modern facilities. In addition, Dr. Pandya was also associated with the Premdas Jalaram Hospital in Vadodara as an Honorary Consultant for 15 years.
Dr. Pandya served as Secretary and later as President of Baroda Orthopaedic Association in 1992. He was Organising Secretary of GOAcon in the same year. He is a regular attendee at national and international orthopaedic workshops and conferences.
Dr. Amul Pandya is now launching the Vadodara Institute of Trauma, Arthroplasty and Spine Surgery (VITAS) at Race Course Road in Vadodara. The hospital has all facilities including a digital X-ray machine, IITV facility, AC and non-AC special rooms and a general ward. The Class 100 operation theatre has laminar flow with AHU, automatic hydraulic table, anaesthesia trolley, automatic tourniquet, MDE hand drill system, seamless flooring and walls. All kinds of joint replacement surgeries such as total knee replacement and total hip replacement can be performed at VITAS. There is a three-bed ICU for post-operative care and trauma care, as well as a physiotherapy centre and a pharmacy. A team of three orthopaedic surgeons and one physician will ensure 24-hour care for all patients.
